Alien Vs Predator: Good Brawler, So-So Overall Game

While not the first AVP game to hit the market this year AVP: Evolution seems to be the favorite thus far. This is mostly due to the poor response for those that have played the console game AVP: Colonial Marines. After all the hype and delays Colonial Marines saw, and underwhelming release has given the game a place in the video game halls of infamy.

Towelfight 2 Launches into Epicness

As previously mentioned Towelfight 2 was released on Android and iOS yesterday and it seems to be doing rather well. That's really no surprise after my hands on experience with the game that was nothing short of amazing. At a high level the games plays and is laid out very similarly to The Binding of Isaac, though the similarities end once you've scratched the surface.

Pocket Stables is Released to Android, and it Turns Out That Ponies Are My Thing

Kairosoft released a new simulation game this week with Pocket Stables. After picking up the game despite my luke warm feelings to the subject matter, I am pleasantly surprised to say that this is one of Kairosoft's better games. It does a fairly good job of keeping the player interested, even in those critical early stages when many of their simulation games feel like more of a chore than a pleasure.

Cubes Vs Spheres - Geometrical Genocide at it's Finest

An interesting title arrived last week from an indie developer that has truly gripped my attention. In Cubes Vs. Spheres, a $.99 wonder-kin of a casual physics game, you defend your position against an oncoming onslaught of various cube enemies. To accomplish this you are given an arsenal of spheres which can be used in various ways.

Kairosoft Releases Dream House Days - I Get Sad....

Kairosoft seems to release a new simulation game every month or so, and they usually will eat a weekend or two as I attempt to conquer whatever business venture is being thrown at me. These games are all very addictive, and so the release of Kairsoft’s latest game, Dream House Days, was met with elation.

Temple Run 2 Gameplay Review - Android iOS

Temple Run 2 was released to Android yesterday (iOS sometime in the last couple weeks), and I have to say... it's awesome. For the most part this is mostly an upgrade of the original. Though we don't see a lot in terms of new mechanics, the graphics are more polished, performance is better, and the gameplay is smoother. This is what we have come to expect in our gaming sequels; small, but significant, changes.

Gunslugs Review (Android iOS)

OrangePixel, creator of many pixel art style games, has released Gunslugs to Android and iOS. After having played a number of OrangePixels games, of which I'd have to say were hit and miss, Gunslugs is just a straight up fun game.

Super Hexagon Review (Android iOS)

I can't always agree with the masses. Though I believe my opinion on games is insightful (why else would I be writing this?), I know that sometimes I dissent from the masses. Super Hexagon, which recently came to Android is one of those cases. Everyone I met has had nothing but amazing things to say about this game. It's got mind melting music, frantic gameplay, and big bright sparkly colors. I get it, I just don't get into it.
